I finished up the last row of the tower this morning:
The rest of the time was dedicated to the front East wall. I was making good progress, but my quality control was off, and I wasn't checking to see if things were level. There must have been some settling in the flooring, because by the time I got to the height of 4 boards, it was painfully obvious that things were NOT level, as seen in the second pic below:
And it was REALLY out of level. Embarrassingly so.
So, the only option was to take down the last row of boards, replace it with one long single board, but trim an angle off the bottom edge - freehand with the band saw - to try and help get things more level. I wish I could explain it clearer than that, but the words just aren't coming to me today.
Anyway, I trimmed the bottom edge of that board, plus the one I installed after that, and - thankfully - it leveled everything out:
That mistake cost me a good amount of time. I was running down and had the shakes, and realized I hadn't had anything but coffee since a Go Macro bar around 7am or so. So, yeah, I decided to quit while I was ahead after installing the last row:
