More early painting. Initial coats of Black Truffle on the backs of two more cabinets and the closet door:
Attaching the shelf supports. I kept the center ones at their original 2x4 size - since this is where two shelf edges will meet, I wanted to have more surface area to attach them to:
I'm out of larger sheets of plywood, so I used the back wall of that heavy shelf that I got from the library a few months ago:
First half installed:
Second half installed. Of course, I fucked up my measurements somewhere along the line, so I had to cut and install a spacer between the two. Measure twice, cut once, kids! Anyway, none of it will be visible when I'm finished.
Placing the supports that the "ceiling" of the nook will rest on. I planed and cut a piece of old fence board for the center support (there will be one in the front too), and the four corner ones were cut down from the old library shelf. I USE EVERYTHING.
I wrapped it up by mid-afternoon, as I was heading back to Tempe by the evening, but I'll be back to continue on Tuesday!
