We're closing in on October, so I've really got to make every hour at the trailer count.
I arrived at the farm in Gisela around 8:45 in the morning, and worked until about 11:30, helping out with various tasks. The rest of the day was reserved for working on the trailer, and I was determined to finish the back wall.
Picking up where I left off:
One longer board in place, second-to-last row completed. This board had to be notched at the far end to fit against that adjacent wall board:
Rip-cut and prepped the bottom left board to match the bottom edge of the window frame:
Before I could place the last board, I had to add another wall board on the adjacent wall (to keep with the "side walls placed first" rule that I set when I first started this area):
Lower right board placed. Finally! With the exception of some trim pieces, the back wall is completely done!
The center trim piece was pretty quick work, though I did have to use a rasp on part of the back side to allow for a good fit over the edge of that plywood:
The whole enchilada:
I might do some early morning painting tomorrow, but it's going to be wall day - building forward from the back area. I decided to get a head start on another part of the window frame near the stove. I love how some of these fence boards turn really dark with the oil:
That's it for today!
