I visited the folks in the morning, and was on the road north by 11am, arriving in Pine around 1pm.
I had one more fence board to run through the planer and trim down to fit below the first one. I also added a stud behind the boards for additional support. I'm going to need at least a few more fence boards to finish everything up.
The last scraps of Havelock Wool went behind these boards. I checked the tracking - the final box is supposedly arriving on Thursday, hopefully earlier in the day. Tomorrow, I'll be in Payson in the morning for a little work, then I need to do some laundry (comforters - easier to do in town than at home), so I'll probably swing by Home Depot on the way back if it's not raining to get a couple more fence boards for the wall. Yeah, tomorrow is supposed to be wet for both Payson and Pine. If it's really heavy up here, I might just hole up in the trailer and do some painting.
On that topic, I did another coat on that front-facing wall of the counter area. I didn't really get a good pic of it, but you can kind of see it in the next pic. I moved up a couple of pieces of furniture today- a nice small wood bench that my dad made for me years ago (I'll try to remember to get a pic tomorrow) and this little cabinet that was - until today - serving as my night stand in Tempe. It had two sliding doors, which I removed. I'm going to store my vinyl records inside, with my stereo and turntable on top:
While I had the Black Truffle paint out, I also did some initial coats on the inside edges of the cabinet door openings below the counter (again, not pictured - sorry. I'll get them tomorrow).
It was getting late in the day, and I decided to attempt another fire, so I could see where I'm at with the off-gassing. It burned for a couple of hours, and there *seemed* to be less of a smell. Fingers crossed.
It was a good fire...I was actually uncomfortably hot in front of it with the stove door open. It got the temp inside the trailer up to almost 70 degrees, which - I hope - is a good sign.
