This is my last workable day for the weekend, so I got into it. Starting another row...getting closer to the floor:
Placing another wall stud:
With the placement of a longer wall board, another row is done:
I was getting to the part of the wall that intersects with the bit of wheel well that sticks out from the closet, so it was time to address what I was going to do with it. I got started on building a little box around it. I was making do with whatever scrap wood I had. That - plus my lack of experience - made for a bit of a sloppy frame, but I think it'll be fine:
The out-facing wall of the box needs to be thin - it's already going to be a tight squeeze, width-wise, for my bed in here. I used some left over thin plywood:
Right about the time I started working on the top (which is from fence board scrap), it started raining. It had been looking like rain all day, so I was surprised it didn't come sooner. I was able to get the top on, then it started really coming down, to the point where I had to cover all of the saws, etc. outside, so I paused for a bit:
I thought I wasn't going to be able to finish the side of the box, but I made a couple of quick runs on the band saw. Done:
Time to pack it in. I did one last spray of flat black in the shelf over the bed, let it dry, then pulled the tape and newspapers. Not too bad. I just need to do some touch up painting with the Black Truffle to clean things up:
