I spent a little time figuring out the height of the nook, and how I was going to construct the framework around the compartment. As with many parts of this interior, I've never had to build something like this, so I'm thinking it up as I go.
Floor insulation cut and placed:
The next step would be the back wall of the compartment. I didn't have a single sheet of plywood big enough to span the nearly 90 inch width, so I would have to cut up smaller pieces to fit. I cut the first piece down with the circular saw. Before I could place it, we had more rain.
After the rain passed, I came out to continue work, but noticed that a small spot of that insulation was moist. The roof sealant was being delivered to an Amazon locker down in Tempe, so I'll have it by next weekend.
Once again, work comes to a halt.
