To finish up the ceiling in the shelf area, I needed to install a piece of wood to make it level:

A lot of cutting and notching happened between these two photos. For the two boards that meet with the post on the right, I had to do some band saw magic, but everything came together okay:
I moved over to the area over the door to do a little more work before calling it a day:
Tomorrow, I'm going to see if I can finish up the ceiling in this area. Time is getting short...
