Fifty days of work on this beast...
Since my folks aren't keen on me running any loud tools before 8am (because of neighbors), I spent most of the morning cleaning and organizing the chaos of the trailer, then took a trip to Home Depot to get a piece of wood for the task mentioned in yesterday's entry. Also, I got a long enough piece of 2" trim for the top edge of the forward shelf. Not much wood for a $30+ purchase, but the times are what they are.
Wood strip installed. This will give me another surface to screw into:
I managed to cut and install one more board before the heat started making things uncomfortable. Around 9am, the trailer was already in the low 90s (with fan on and windows open), so when we took a break for brunch, I packed everything up for the day. Tomorrow is hotter, so once again I'm skipping a day. With the short amount of actual work time I have on the hottest days, it's not worth the gas I'm using to drive over here.
After brunch, I worked on updating my mom's Mac for a while. When I left for Tempe, the temperature inside the trailer was 111 degrees. Ooof...
I'll be back on Monday, which is supposed to be a little cooler.
