Before I could permanently mount that lower wall board, I needed a short wall stud to attach it to:
Fast-forward a while later: both boards and insulation installed. The long board needed a lot of "adjustment trimming" but everything fit just fine in the end:
A trim piece to finish it up:
For the next few hours, I worked on the underside of the cabinets over what will be the headboard of the bed. I pieced together different bits of fence board cut-offs. I'm going to carry that red paint a bit further inward, then install the last row of boards:
In the coming week, I'm going to finish the painting on the two doors for the cabinets above, so I wanted to get the hardware ready. Used the wire wheel on the hinges:
Earlier in this build, I thought I would be painting this area - the shelf corner over the bed - the same yellow as the kitchen and the two shelves at the front of the trailer. Then I thought it would be nicer in a darker color, so I started to brush on Black Truffle. But today, in order to expedite things, I decided to just spray it black. I taped everything off, opened the windows and started to spray. Within a few minutes I heard thunder, and the rain clouds looked to be getting closer, so I halted work. I can't spray if I have to close up all of the windows.
