Day 88

Last weekend's festivities took a lot of prep and also took a lot out of me, so Sunday was mostly a rest day before heading back to the valley.

After spending Monday and Tuesday in Tempe, I headed back to Pine on Wednesday, after a morning visit with the folks. The weather was (finally) supposed to be drying out, with very little chance for rain over the next few days, so I pulled off the tarp and got to work on painting the roof with Liquid Rubber.

I stuck to painting over all of the seams and patches, basically anywhere that moisture could possibly get in. Because there isn't much room to maneuver around the trailer on most sides, I was starting to contemplate ways to get to the hard-to-reach spots. Sooz mentioned making an extension for the foam brushes I was using - great idea! So I whipped this up:

It worked beautifully.

In addition to the Liquid Rubber, I also applied Dicor sealant around any areas on the outside that I may have missed. The evening was approaching, and I knew I had to be fully rested for the work on the farm in the morning, so I called it a day.
