I ran a couple of errands in Payson on the way up, including stopping at Ace to get some paint. Since I was arriving in the late afternoon, I set everything up outside the trailer quickly and got to work on a little bit of painting.
What looks like black paint on that edge is actually a really deep dark purple-ish color called Truffle Black. It looked a bit more blue when it was wet, which worried me a bit. But I'm pretty happy with the dry finish. I did a couple of initial coats on the cabinet across from this one and called it a day.
Also, I was very generously gifted an iPhone for my birthday (thanks Don!) to replace my Android, which is aging out and starting to become unusable. I'm still learning the new phone, so I was experimenting with different photo formats, hence the inconsistency in size for the next day or so.
