I needed more 2x3s to continue building out the shelf/stove area over the wheel well, so another Home Depot trip was made. I also grabbed a sheet of thin plywood to use for the walls of the build.
Getting the 2x3s to be square in relation to the trailer and each other was trickier than one would think. The trailer itself isn't perfectly square - by design, in most cases. And it's hard to find lumber that doesn't have a slight warp or twist to it.
Second beam (by the door) installed.
Detail of upper bracket. Once this part is done, and the insulation is in place, putting in the ceiling panels might be a little challenging.
Before installing the third beam, we had to put in a small crossbeam to attach it to.
It was a weird day. Everything seemed to end up taking longer than it should have. By mid-afternoon, we were starting to run out of steam, but wanted to get the framing started around the wheel well, so...
Using up more of that wood from the old bed in Pine. It will live on within my walls.
I'm leaving a gap around the wheel well for insulation.
Hitting pause for the work week. The frame build continues on Friday!
