Day 5

The first actual day of "work" - which was mostly small things and assessing what bigger things need to be done.

Replaced a lock on one of the side access panels, because there was no key. Also got a padlock for another panel.

There was a gap under the step plate inside the door, big enough for cold air or bugs to enter. Will need caulking.

Removing the panel that was screwed into the back ceiling (over what used to be the toilet area) revealed some water damage...which lines up with the open PVC tubes sticking out of the roof, and the broken vent dome.

Opened up the wood structure over the passenger-side wheel well. The former owner filled it with fiberglass insulation. I'm probably going to rebuild this up into a proper bench for more seating, possibly with storage under the seat.

Removed a plywood plank under the "counter" - voila! I thought this was perhaps where the regular water tank was, but my dad's neighbor is pretty sure this is the hot water system. In any case, it's dead weight that needs to go.

Unscrewed one of the long boards in what was the original seating area in the front. Will need insulation. This is going to eventually be the desk/work space.

And finally...the closet is going to need some love.
